A minute on the hill

Welcome to Sunset Inlet

Five acres of serenity, just past Porters Lake.

Each of our cabins and bunkie offers its own quiet sense of retreat, with a private fire pit made for slow evenings under the open sky - perfect for gathering with a drink in hand and good conversation as the night settles in.

My dad Tom grew up on this hill - back when it was open fields and family gardens above Chezzetcook Inlet. In the mid-1980s, we built the first cabin here together. Forty years later, we're still adding to what he started.

  • Hot tubs under the stars

Two of our cabins have private hot tubs with views of the inlet. The sunsets aren't even the best part.

  • 15 minutes to Lawrencetown

One of Canada’s premier surf beaches known for its consistent waves and popularity with surfers. It also features scenic boardwalk trails and wide, open ocean views.

  • 30 minutes to downtown Halifax

Close enough for dinner on the waterfront. Secluded enough to feel worlds away.

Our Story

For Tom.

This hill has been in our family for as long as anyone can remember. Long before there was a cabin on it, it was Tom's - my dad. He grew up here. Ran through the gardens, helped work the fields his family kept on the slope above Chezzetcook Inlet.

Dad used to look out over that water and say, β€œMore people should get to feel this.”
